The north east area of the United States is in for a dreary, rain soaked weekend, starting today. A weather report that might make some feel a little down in the dumps, but not me. I received a colorful and fun package in the mail. I won a blog give away from Elizabeth Holcomb's Words and whimsies blog. Now, I had to show you the giftwrap that the two crafting books came in. Gorgeous paper, pretty pink ribbon, and a magic wand. I plan to use my new magic wand, only for good (I will start by waving it toward the south, specifically Washington D.C., with wishes that they will figure out how to fix this economic disaster, very soon) and happy reasons. I promise not to abuse the powers bestowed in me by this magic wand. Along with my actual winnings, Beth sent me this fabulous pin cushion creation. Vintage fabrics, vintage ribbons, tiny little vintage buttons and beads all topped with an adorable little bluebird and tiny milinery flowers. I am still grinning from ear to ear. Oh, and you must also notice the 70's style card that came with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Beth....this has made me very, very happy. I wish you all a little whimsy this weekend. If you are stuck indoors due to the weather, then I suggest you visit ETSY and find a little whimsy for yourselves.
