Pink Saturday has really made me aware of all the pinks around me. Often, I will see a perfect pink item and be caught without my camera....so frustrating.
Last night we were out for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. This lovely bistro has been in town for many years now, and I have to say that it is still a happy moment when we have an opportunity to enjoy their fare. The beauty of the Bistro in Red Bank, New Jersey is that they never disappoint.
We enjoyed sushi which happened to be the most lovely shade of salmon pink, and the tuna which was also a pretty pink. The pickled ginger put this dish over the top in the pink department.
The dish that I had for dinner is a grilled shrimp with squid ink pasta in a Thai coconut cream sauce with shitakes and peppers. When it is served, there are bonito flakes covering the top of the pasta. The reaction of the bonito flakes with the heat or the air or something is magic...the flakes literally dance on top of the dish. Entertaining? Yes...wish I had my camera with me so I could have a video of the event, however, I did not...just the phone, so you will have to take my word for it. A favorite meal that comes with its own show, and more pink...the shrimps...delicious. Who could ask for more?
Beverly has asked that we visit other Pink Saturday participants, and I really make it a point to visit some every week. This week I would like to talk about our hostess for a minute. I really enjoy reading Beverly's blog during the week, especially her Friday posts. She has gotten me hooked on her puzzle Fridays...so much fun and so addictive. So thank you Beverly, not just for the Saturdays of Pink, but for the puzzles as well. Please take some time to visit some of the other participants this week at How Sweet the Sound.
