Valerie

I had never heard of a tea tile. I guess it like a trivet but much more decorative. I think they are lovely and good for you to pick them up.

Cathy

Beautifully painted tiles!!! What a treasure!! Cathy

Susan

Oh my goodness, those are so pretty. I've not ever heard of tea tiles, either. I will have to keep my eyes open for them when I'm out and about looking for treasures.

Happy Monday to you,
Susan

Lavender Cottage

I have to agree with the above comments in that I've never heard of tea tiles before either.
They sure are pretty though and the crystal salt shakers were a deal as well.

Beautiful tea tiles and great finds!

They are lovely and I had no idea what they are. I enjoyed reading your story about something returning to you that you had once loved. Very nice.

Oh what lovely treasures! Thanks for sharing at MM. :)

Pat

The tea tiles and salt shakers are very pretty, Susan! It's fun to have collections of pretty things and especially when you can find them at such good prices!
happy Mosaic Monday!

So happy you found what you wanted. I do understand that. I wanted an assortment of old keys for art projects, walked everywhere in town looking for some. Finally had to go on eBay and found just what I wanted and not a bad price. I have started to shop on eBay since I am older than dirt and too hard to get around. Loved your MM. Never heard the term tea tile, either.

I didn't know about tea tiles, either. Sometimes you don't know how much you like something until you let it go. Glad a collection found its way back to you!

Kristen

I learn so much on blogs. I hadn't heard of tea tiles, but they are really lovely. What a serendipity for you to find them.

Pondside

Too cute! I love the idea that the collection found you.

Brenda Kula

I have learned from experience that every time I sell or get rid of something I'm on the fence about, I end up hunting it down again and spending twice as much money. Love the tea tiles. And so glad you explained what they were!

Mary
