The town of Red Bank NJ will be known as Pink Bank this week. I think that this is one of the best reasons to join in on Beverly's Pink Saturday link up. Just about all of the stores and restaurants and businesses are taking part in this pink event to help raise money for breast cancer research and awareness.
Here we see the main st, which is Broad St. decorated with a pink line down the center. The stores have pink window displays, there are pink foods and drinks on the menu's and even Starbucks has a free strawberry drink give away for the event. You can read more here, about this community event. In addition to the pinkness in town, on Wednesday, the 6th there will be a free showing at the Count Basie Theater of
, what else, Pretty in Pink. I am really looking forward to this since I haven't seen this movie yet.
Even our backyard is in the pink spirit with pink cherry blossoms reaching up to the sky and

Hi Susan, how awesome to have a whole town participate in cancer awareness. I love that. The pink stripe on the road is fun to see and it does have so much meaning. Your cherry blossoms are gorgeous and it is always so pretty to see a carpet of blooms. I want one of those free pink drinks.
