I always liked the pastel pink wreath in my room upstairs. :D hehehe.

Hi Susan...and YES ! That is the cutest little book..and you have it too.....The inspiration for the pasta dish came from there...

I know, I always have that problem with the decorating..I see the pastels in magazines..looks so great...but when it comes right down to it..I always go traditional..red and green.....

I'll check back later to see which way you went....

You can do it all - why not??

HAHAHA...I haven't even gotten my tree out yet. This year is just sooo, discomboobalated for some reason. I don't even have everything up on Etsy yet.
Tomorrow is Sharonville Christmas tree lighting. Have been getting ready for that. I usually have it all up the Fri after Thanks.....not this year. I'm a red and green girl for Christmas. orry can't help with the pastel dilemma.

I'm having a similar problem. I just can't seem to get things done. The decorating usually comes so easily. But I'm distracted with guys putting up a fence and suddenly frigid weather and trying to protect plants. A sick kitty. Everything clamoring for my attention, and I feel like I'm running in one spot and not getting anywhere. I say just have different themes for different areas. If you love to look at these things, then you should have them where you can see them!

I'm bringing out all the Christmas stuff I have left from a move 6 Christmas' ago from CT to FL when we got rid of all but one large tote (I had 5) and 2 wreaths.

This year it's everything out, all the colors, stuff I've picked up at yard sales and thrift stores and we're adding a real tabletop tree. With all of it out, I can decide what I want to do next year be it themes or just everything.

Meanwhile, I'm taking snapshots of it all and making notes of what works and why, what doesn't, what I need to complete my look.

For you - whatever makes you happy and personally, I'm not sure any more of cohesive theme other than Christmas is necessary.

I'm just hoping I get ANY decorations up this year, lol!

I'm a have your cake and eat it too kinda gal, so I vote to do it all. Each room can have different color scheme...just like the fancy designers do. :-)

I hear you - I like too many different things, too. I think the solution is to be like Martha and own multiple homes. (Also to be like Martha and have a staff to decorate the multiple homes!)
