Becky K.

We have tackled so many house projects together...Warren and I.

It is so nice that the two of you could enjoy the fruits of your labors and spend this time together.

Great job on the kitchen, I love it. What a collection of cook books you have, great way to store and display them! Wonderful little spot to sit and have dinner.

Martha

What a wonderful simple tablescape -- the roses are beautiful -- Love your kitchen and I'll be sure to show my husband that I'm not the only one who collects cookbooks!

Diann @ The Thrifty Groove

A nice simple tablescape. Very sweet. your kitchen turned out wonderful.

Melody

Jim saw your wall of cookbooks.....he said no as he looked at me. Hehehehe, now you have him terrified. He put up a shelf last October for my cookbooks and cleared off the table, but now he's thinking more shelves are coming...poor guy.
Hope to see you at the Vintage Alphabet Get-together with your aluminum.

Jenna Ericson

Hahhahaha.... I remember that wallpaper. I really wish we had some more photos of that wallpaper. It was pretty groove-tastic.

Katherine

Wow! Great transformation! Nice tablescape, soup sounds good!

Mel, Tell your husband to relax..amazingly, the majority of those cookbooks were found at yard sales over the years. There always seems to be a box or two of cookbooks under a table at a yard sale.

Oh I love it. We eat in the breakfast area everyday and I think it can be very romantic. Your pretty white setting is just lovely and your kitchen is gorgeous. Hugs, Marty

I like the kitchen/breakfast area/library combination...

Sherry

Your kitchen looks fantastic. They did a really good job! The romantic dinner looks inviting.

laura @ the shore house

Having seen the kitchen in person...I have to say it's a goodie. :-) And I could pick through your cookbook collection for hours and days!!

Pat

Susan I love your kitchen! Thanks so much for showing it to us. It looks well thought out and open and airy between the window and sliders to your deck. I also like all the different work stations that allow different things to be done by different family members at the same time. My kitchen work triangle is so small that I can be the only one working at the sink, stove or in the refrigerator, and my counter top prep area is very tiny.
After seeing your cook book collection I feel a lot better about mine ... I can never have enough :-) I just wish I had a book case wall like yours to contain them all!

chie

That's a spacious kitchen. Wish mine is as huge as that.

I didn't realize that is a catfood.

Gorgeous stuffs & cheers for 2...

Tara

OK, I have severe kitchen envy...

Amanda @ Serenity Now

My hd and I have done many a project together...it can be fun.
Love the black and white floors and all the different areas to work in.
Happy Day

Sally

Any time you're able to sit down together for a meal with candlelight and a rose, I'd say, is a romantic time.

Cha Cha

Love your kitchen, the black and white is such a fresh take with the wood. Thanks for sharing.

With such a great looking kitchen, no wonder you need a lot of cookbooks. Can I come over for dinner?

CC

Your kitchen is perfect. When a home is filled with laughter and the teens hang out there, then it's a good thing. I love the look of it..and the shelves with your cookbooks..oh my!!!! I would love such a place for my collection of cookbooks. And...I love that you do candlelight and roses sometimes. Don't we all need that???

melissa @ the inspired room

Wow, you must be so happy to have such a wonderful kitchen! And a place for all of those cookbooks! Fantastic!!
