If someone were to wish me a life full of lilacs, I think that would be the nicest ambition. We have, growing by the side of the driveway a more unique pink lilac bush.
The sweet scent from these pink flowers is just intoxicating! There is something both homey and exciting about lilacs. Today, I am dedicating this post only to the pink lilac... the other lilac, the one that the color is named for, the one that is purple and lavender and blue and white, well that will be a separate post. This is for the sweet pink bush that is first to welcome Spring
and offer up it's beautiful branches to decorate the mantle.

SO pretty!! My two have buds on already but they are 3 weeks ahead of time here in Pa. I am praying that we do not get a frost that kills the buds before they get a chance to bloom!!!

I cannot believe how things have just popped open! I predicted it when they said the warm weather was coming but now that it is happening all I can do is swoon. Oh my, driving anywhere is such a treat!

The smell of lilacs is so intoxicating! My husband and I went to the Brooklyn Botanical garden this weekend ( future blogs post.lol) and the lilacs were just opening there. The cherry trees were also just beginning to blossom. It was such a lovely day to see so much beauty in one place!
