When you walk outdoors, where do you look? Do you look down at the ground? If you do, you might find a beautiful heart shaped rock...or maybe a piece of beach glass...
Do you look in the street, or at your neighbors front porch? Do you notice the cars that are all in shades of blue? Coincidence....yes and so perfect for Blue Monday! Does your nose tell you that the hyacinth have bloomed? Do your eyes focus on the beautiful purple in the pansies?
When you walk, what do you think about? While I was walking today, I was thinking that it is the first day of baseball season. Tonight, the Yankees play the Red Sox....what a way to start!
When you walk, do you open your senses to the possibilities? Are you thankful for the beautiful day? I will be optimistic for all that we have been given and I am grateful!

Susan-I like to walk in a park, so I am constantly looking at nature! I really prefer to walk alone too-- It's my place and time for thinking!

Yes, I do look down on the ground most of the time come to think of it, and I think about how lucky I am to be walking on a beautiful day!~ Lovely mosaic, love your pansies, they are happy!

Yes, I look down when I walk and find alot of coins, especially dimes for some reason - so I pick them up.
I am so busy looking at everyone's house, gardens and anything else, my walks take a long time which drives my husband crazy.

Wonderful post. I am out and about for five miles daily (the perimeter of our farm which ends at the river). I bring binoculars and am discovering nature's gifts daily. Love that you pick up beach glass and rocks you find. GO YANKEES!

When I walk, not only do my feet take me places but my mind as well. I can completely get lost in thought and if I am not careful, lost in where I am going as well!

i LOVE beach glass...used to walk on the beach here with Buddy...have a collection of it in my windowseat window...with memories of those days...happy sweet days....
and you have a Pixie too
i have one other stray that has been coming for over a year that eats with Pixie and he is all black..i named him, Mumbie...
i'll try and get their picture together and post on those two....
they are so cute..i LOVE kittys too...
