and some geraniums, and this is where the yard sale issue began...
It fit so well on the front porch though, and the colors went perfectly together, that I believe the unplanned for serendipity of the situation called for some reconsideration.
I am so pleased with the way the decor on the porch has turned out. It just feels like a happier, welcoming place now. This is why I have learned to attend yard sales with an open mind and broader attitude. You never know when you will find the perfect addition to your home or decor, whether you were looking for it or not.
More on the yard sale finds in the next post.
Today, I am linking this post to Little Red House for Mosaic Monday, Smiling Sally's for Blue Monday, and Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphosis Monday. I thank them all for being the nicest hosts.
♥, Susan
It's looking just gorgeous! What great finds, love the wicker and the red. I went to a mega one of Friday too. I ran out of energy before I ran out of garage sales. This was after 8 hours of garage saling.
But it was sooo fun!

I wanted to mention to you that when I click on your name from the comment on my blog, it takes me to a blog that doesn't have anything on it. This blog site that I'm posting on now does not show up at all. I came back to Mary's Mr. Linky to find you. I'm sorry but I don't know how to tell you to correct that but I bet you're missing lots of replies because people can't locate you from one of your comments to them. Check in your profile & make sure THIS blog URL is the one listed. Maybe that will help?? I hope so!

I love how you can envision how something might work in a space. Sometimes I can do that and sometimes I'm sure I miss out.

What great finds!! and isn't it true, you NEVER (almost anyway) find the things you are looking for at yard sales. But sometimes, the things you do find are better!
GREAT front porch, LOVE your door and those retro chairs...marvelous.

I love the green retro chairs...and who doesn't love a red door...a front door should be no other color but red... It should be a law....!!

I've loved riding along on your yard sale journey (albeit vicariously. Next year!). LOVE the wicker chair especially. I managed to make it to the Interlaken townwide and hoo boy howdy it was a good time. I excersized amazing constraint if I do say so myself...but my collection du jour (or du year, if you will!) seems to be vintage paintings. I'm collected three or four this year. And some day, I'll actually return to my blog to write about it. :-)

Great job on the fabulous finds, too!
