Snapping away in the garden this week, I got the blues and yes, that is a dragonfly!
In addition to the blues, I got the squash report...
they are up and ready for picking!
Lastly, I found art in the gardens....it is all about creativity and anticipation this week...can't wait to see what I find next! (don't forget to click on the pictures to make them larger!)
Now I am off to see what is growing in your neck of the woods. This post is being linked to Smiling Sally for Blue Monday, and Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.
♥, Susan
What a neat shot of a dragonfly, Susan!
Happy Blue Monday!

I'm glad to see someone posted after I did..I was late this week.
I love your garden. My mission is to take a good dragonfly macro. Hasn't happened yet.
We're in a condo so no garden but love yours.

I love the idea of community garden. I live in the country side so we don't have a problem where to put the garden. But in the city area there should be a place to have a community garden, it is really cool something to look forward to and visit often. Nice shots!

Susan, that dragon fly shot in flight is AMAZING. I chased a butterfly one day, and I know how hard a shot like that is to get!
Hope you had a great Fourth, and I want to wish you a Happy Blue Monday...
XO,
Sheila :-)

Those squash blooms remind me of my angels trumpet blooms. Hope you had a great 4th of July.

Nice mosaics. Love your big garden..mine is tiny in comparison and suffering this year due to lots of water and no sun! I'm glad someone is prospering :-)

Hey Susan, Isn't everyone kind of "Zen-like" this year? The artsy touches are so interesting. Thanks for including Mark's Father's Day windsock!

You're way ahead of us - except with dragonflies...they're all over the surface of the pond, skimming and soaring.

Hi Susan
Beautiful photos! That is a big dragonfly you captured mid flight and your squash looks so good!
You are right that the community gardeners in Floyd Bennett Field can retain the same garden year after year as long as they pay their fee and do "community service" work in the garden which means they volunteer for one of the many tasks available such as helping to maintain the children's garden or writing for the garden's newsletter. it is all very organized. There is a long waiting list to get a garden plot but some plots do open up every year. We had one a long time ago but once the kids were involved with sports every weekend we have it up,

Awesome!! My little home garden is totally fizzling this year...mostly due to the heat. Squirrels ate all -- ALL! -- of my sunflower shoots!! That never happened before. :-( I may try another round this weekend...just means I'll have sunflowers in the fall, which isn't so bad!

What a wonderful garden. Your photos and the collages you've made from them are terrific. I hope you had a great Blue Monday. Blessings...Mary
