I stopped in to our local grocery/nursery/gourmet shop today...the name of the place is Sickles Market. They have the best of everything here, and a fine blog too. With the intention of a quick run in to pick up a few things, I came away with the groceries intended and these pictures...
The African Violets caught my eye...beautiful and so tricky to care for!
Then my eye was pulled to the begonias...I just love begonias...don't know why, but I do!!
These are quite possibly the pinkest begonias that I have ever seen and I am smitten.
And then my sights went right to these pink hydrangea...very pretty, but we've seen them before...and they always turn blue when planted in our gardens. I know it is the acidity or alkaline values in our soil that does the color change.
Mesmerized....I was totally mesmerized by this tropical beauty. Have you ever seen a plant like this before? This was the exotic lovely that made my heart flutter...what is it? The name on the tiny tag said meneville or mediville and I could not find it on the internet... soooo, I will have to go back and check it out again. Any reason to go back to Sickles is a good reason!
This post is being linked to How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday.

The pink plant on the bottom, the something-ville looks so lovely.
The begonias are beautiful, too! I love begonias. I tend to get Scarlet Begonias by Grateful Dead stuck in my head when I hear their name, too. Haha.

Hi Susan, Begonias are easy and so pretty. I love them too. Actually I love all flowers but lilacs are my fave and my mother's as well. The smell just makes me swoon. HA!
I like the nursery and would love to visit the beauty of it all. I live in a small town and we have Lowe's and Walmart. Sigh! Ialways say...if you are lucky to live in the mountains of Western NC., You are lucky enough. HA!
Happy Spring!
Hugs, Jeanne

African Violets are the easiest plant in the world to take care of. Self watering pots or bust:)
