What's up? Well, for a while there it wasn't me, however, I am feeling considerably better today. What else is up??
The sun has most definitely been up and so are the blooms on the redbud tree. As a matter of fact, just about everything in the garden is blooming right now.
Not just the pretty pink redbuds, but the pink lilacs as well.
The air is so fragrant from the lilac bushes, each one with a slightly different aroma. It took me by surprise when I compared how the blooms smelled, with the pink just having a stronger, sweeter smell than the lavender colored lilacs (or would that be lilac colored lilacs?)
In the backyard, our lawn is speckled with tiny violets...very pretty! The veggie garden has the chive plants protected from the bunny rabbits right now.
The spinach, lettuce, and brussel-sprouts are also growing safely within the fencing of the garden. Peter Rabbit and his relatives will have to look elsewhere for their meal. The asparagus are still producing, and interestingly enough, the rabbits don't seem to be particularly interested in them. I wonder why?
In celebration of Blue Monday, I have included some of my favorite blues. The comfy quilt I look at hanging over the back of the sofa, just across from my desk. The Atlantic Ocean, that I have lived so close to all of my life. The really cool, vintage pinball game that we saw recently while at the Antique Center. The huge, blue emu egg, and the jelly beans I fill a jar with every year at this time...I especially like the blueberry flavored ones.
How has your Spring been progressing? Did you enjoy the holidays? I am off to catch up with all that is new in blog-land.
This post is being linked to Little Red House for Mosaic Monday and Smiling Sally for Blue Monday.

Isn't it wonderful to see the garden come to life after winter? Lilacs are so sweetly beautiful - we have a few weeks to wait before ours bloom. I hope you feel all better soon.

Spring has been slow to arrive here, but there are signs! Daffodils are opening up and the tulips have come up quite a bit although they're still a ways from blooming. I love this time of year.
