Every now and then something very unexpected happens... like finding a pink elephant when you are at the nursery looking for new bushes and such...
In the front yard garden at home, our peonies, looking very much like pink tutued ballerina's right now, have popped.
Like most Springtime blooms, they don't last very long, but what a treat it is to see them again...coming up, year after year.

Not exactly where you would think you would find a pink elephant, but this one is a cutie.

Oh my, you lucky girl! Your Peonies look lovely and I will never forget that elephant! How cool:)
I'm waiting for my peonies to pop. I'm hoping I don't miss them while I'm visiting my daughter for two weeks. Like you said Susan, they don't last very long but oh my are they heavenly.
Thanks for sharing...

Hi Susan, I love the pink elephant. When I was little my parents would take us kids to Johny Asquaga's Nugget in Reno and they had pink elephant drink stirrers. Funny how such a simple thing really made our trip! Happy Pink Saturday. ~Marti

No peonies here for another month, but I sure enjoyed seeing yours!

Hi Susan, I remember peonies from a flower garden my mother grew on our farm many years ago. She would send me out to cut them for the house. This was a cutting garden and my mom loved fresh flowers in the house. I do too.
Your peonies are so pretty in pink. The pink elephant sure gave me a chuckle. Imagine finding him in the nursery like that. A fun place to shop for plants.
Happy Sunday,
Jeanne
