We have been so inspired by our upstairs renovation. It really is a sanctuary of sorts, away from young adult, late night banter and such. I found the last item for my closet ...
at Home Goods. I have been looking for a mirror that had a little more going for it. Something with style and of course on budget. This full length, beveled edge mirror has a wooden frame that is gilded with silver leaf.
The bedroom, for the most part is now finished...the office/den is also finished
So, what is next? Isn't there always a next project? It will be the hallway and stairwell that connects the bedroom and office area.
At the moment, it is a holding area for all things construction. Because I only have a partial vision for this space, I am thinking of starting with a clean slate, Clearing everything out and painting. I am also thinking of painting this area in an off white semi-gloss. All of the other rooms in the house are painted with a matt finish, however, my thought process is that the semi-gloss might bring a little light to an already dark space. If you have ever done this, and have an opinion, I would love to hear it. Thumbs up or down on semi-gloss walls?

Susan! It looks like you have been very, VERY busy since I've been away. Loved seeing what you are up to and am also giving you a thumbs up on your project! :-)
Thanks so much for dropping by to see me. I wanted to be sure and get by here to thank you. Not sure when I will be back to blogging because I am computerless as you read, but I have borrowed Mr. M's computer and am racing to finish before he needs it when he gets back from client meetings.
Sending you much love across the miles...
XO,
Sheila

I feel the same way--projects just keep jumping out of the walls at me. I love semi-gloss and use it all the time. If you want just a little jump, you could try eggshell. It's got a more buttery appearance but still reflects light.
